A fine set of four George III silver table candlesticks by John Cafe in later fitted case. Weighted and modelled in Neo-Classical style. With reeded sconces having key fret collars and detachable nozzles, each stick ornamented with four ram masks, with waisted pedestal terminating on paw feet and raised on tapering square plinths further ornamented with ram masks and festoons. Assayed London 1774, 30cm. Hallmarks clear and all matching including nozzles. Moulding on all crisp. Three with beize attached to the bottoms, one uncovered. No repair detected, each base shows shadowing around the raised detail, see images.
GEORGE IV CHAMBER STICK with cone and scissor action candle snuffers, London 1827, makers Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard, the handle with shell detail repeated in style to the scissor handles, the base and removable sconce edges with a floral border in relief, good clear marks to chamber stick sconce and scissor snuffers, the cone snuffer marks indistinct (the pattern to this does not appear to match up with any other area so presumed non-matching), 15.4 troy ozs gross

(21.5 x 20cm.); together with a small sailorwork watercolour of the sail/steam warship H.M.S. Mersey with a banner title reading God Speed Us Home; and a Malacca walking stick with horn handle and silver cuff inscribed Francis Durrant R.N., with maker's mark for Brigg -- 36¾in. RENI SIGNED AND HEATON PARK USED DRUMSTICKS. A well used pair of 'Pro-Mark' drumsticks used by Reni of the Stone Roses during the 2012 Heaton Park concert. Each stick has been signed in black marker by Reni. The vendor worked for the band and has supplied documentation and photos attesting to his presence on various tours and at various concerts during the period. A letter of provenance will be included.
