A large strand of unused polished coral barrel beads, together with a vintage jadeite carved and a contemporary "mutton fat" nephrite jade. double sided carved disc. The coral beads are formed from coral branches polished into tube shaped beads. The strand is approximately 82 cm long. The central bead measures approximately 44mm x 24mm. Total weight of strand approximately 307 grams. The jadeite carving is a vintage depiction of a fisherman. It measures approximately 8cm x 6.5cm. It weighs approximately 92.18 grams. The "mutton fat" carving depicts a Xiezhi, a mythical beast representing justice. It measures approximately 4.6cms and weighs 28.08 grams. Also included in the lot: an imitation jade bangle, made of glass; a nephrite spinach green bangle; a dyed quartzite bangle; an aventurine and blue sodalite collar; and a nephrite elephant and brass stick pin.
Two carved nephrite jade Chinese bangles. One featuring carved characters, the other featuring two dragons holding a single carved pearl in their mouths. Internal diameter of the character design bangle approximately 6.5cm approximate weight 93.23 grams, the dragon bangle 5.8cm, approximate weight 48.31 grams. Condition report: Both bangles are in good condition with no obvious cracks or bruising. Untested for any treatment.
Three jadeite bangles, of graduating sizes. The first, a "floating flower" green and white jade bangle has an internal diameter of approximately 6.5cm and weighs 60.09 grams; the second a diameter of 7cm, approximate weight 55 grams; the third 5.8 cm with an approximate weight of 39.58. Condition report: Untested for treatment. The two smaller bangles are free from damage or impediment. The largest floating flower green bangle has a hairline crack at the point where the jadeite has a lilac patch.

J 71The Reginald and Lena Palmer Collection, no. J 71 The RHRP ledger describes the piece as: 'Brown striated jade 2 handled vase, the handles carved with bats and vine. Appears to have been burnt. Chinese.'There have been a number of theories put forward as to the history of its appearance.
