A Chinese brass mounted hardwood table top jewellery cabinet, mid-20th century, brass scroll carrying handle on pierced shou emblem mount, brass moth engraved corner mounts, the two doors each inset with three reticulated serpentine roundels depicting birds and prunus blossom, conforming roundels to the sides, the interior with five drawers, 12½in. (31.5cm.) high; together with a similar brass bound hardwood jewellery box, the lid with centralised oval jade floral plaque, 7 x 5in. (17.8 x 12.2cm.). (2) * Condition: - Cabinet: Good condition, with no damage. Polish slightly faded throughout.- Box: Good condition.
Two antique Chinese carved jade sword slides, possibly Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD), one celadon green, engraved with c-scrolls and a stylised animal head to one end, old collection label to base, 8.1cm. long; the other in mottled celadon green with single dark inclusion, undecorated, 8cm. long. (2), * Part of an old collection of jade carvings purchased at auction in Jersey approx. 30 years ago, some with old collection labels. ** Condition: Both in good condition, with no chips or damage. Both have small natural flaws in the stone.
A pale green to mottled grey Chinese carved jade figure, late 20th century, depicting Guanyin in fine flowing robes before a backdrop of bamboo fronds and Greek key engraved horseshoe arch, with pierced wood stand, 7¾in. (19.75cm) high. * Condition: Tiny chip to tip of topmost bamboo frond. Otherwise in very good condition.
A pair of Chinese carved mutton fat jade elephants, probably 19th century, archaistic in execution, modelled standing four square with raised trunk, bearing a draped tasselled saddle bearing a centralised Taijitu symbol, on reticulated hardwood stands, 7½in. (19cm.) long, 5in. (12.25cm.) high. (2) * Condition: No chips, cracks or other damage. No restoration. Natural flaws in stone visible in places. Stands very dry due to sun fading - polish poor.
A pair of Chinese carved pale jade birds, probably early 20th century, archaic style carving in pale lavender-grey with some pale green inclusions, perched upon naturalistic rocky outcrops, 5in. (12.75cm.) high, on reticulated foliate design hardwood stands. (2) * Condition: Very good condition with some natural flaws visible to stone.
A Chinese carved spinach jade figure of a falcon, probably 19th century, archaistic in form, in upright stance upon an indented circular 'rocky' base with lighter green inclusions, 4½in. (11.4cm.) high. * Condition: Tiny chip to edge of base (very old, possibly from the making). No other damage. In good condition overall.
A Chinese carved pale green to white jade snuff bottle, probably early 20th century, one side with a distinct creamy inclusion, of ovoid form with relief carvings to front and back of birds amongst flowering branches, with matching jade stopper, 3¼in. (8.25cm.) high. * Condition: Good condition, with no chips or cracks. Stopper loose as it lacks cork and spoon. Old brown tape adhesive to one side of neck and stopper.
A pair of Chinese carved pale spinach jade figures of Guanyin, probably 19th century, standing in flowing robes and holding her tasselled belt and a brush, on reticulated carved hardwood bases with old labels beneath, 9in. (22.8cm.) high. (2) * Condition: The head of one the figures has been off and reglued at the neck. No other damage. Good age related patina to figures and bases. Small piece missing from one base and tiny chip to the other.
A Chinese egg yolk amber snuff bottle, 18th / 19th century, rounded straight sided form, relief carved taotie mask and ring handles to sides, domed pale green jade stopper with bone spoon, 2¼in. (5.7cm.) high. * Condition: Small flake from foot. Two tiny frits to one mask. No other damage or restoration.
A Chinese cameo carved agate snuff bottle, 19th century, broad ovoid form with cameo carved cricket on amphora to front using a toffee coloured inclusion, short cylinder neck with serpentine and white jade stopper bearing bone oar form spoon, 3¼in. (8.3cm.) high, old collection label to base. * Condition: 10mm semi-circular crack to white jade stopper collar. Bottle in good condition, with no damage.
