Chinese Qing dynasty "Mandarin" fan, the paper leaf on pierced and carved wooden sticks with hand painted decoration to either side depicting figures on terraces, with applied ivory faces and collaged silk robes. One stick detached. 53cm x 27.5cm.Condition report:One stick detached, one guard stick with glued repair at base of leaf and two very tiny holes. Tiny pin hole to other guard stick.Very slight wear to folds of leaf and slight chipping to edges. One ivory face missing, fabric starting to lift vey slightly in places but condition reasonable overall. As images.
