AN 18TH CENTURY GNARLED WOOD, INLAID PIN WORK AND PAINTED WALKING CANE, the smoothed top bearing inlaid inverted WB Wire Work initials above four knobbly protrusions and two eyelets, the shaft with further pin work initials 'KDG' and others and a geometric painted design to a further nine knobbly protrusions above a tapered section length 86cm (condition:- the stick has sections of splits for almost the entire length, areas of varnish have craquelure and the pin work is indistinct in places due to this)
TRIAL OF WARREN HASTINGS, a late 18th Century paper and bone fan, the fan printed with a monochrome view of a 'View of the Trial of Warren Hastings Esq at Westminster Hall', published by Cook & Co in 1788, the view with a sepia patterned ground and two ovals printed with labelled guide to notable figures and groups in the trial, the ovals are hand embellished with gold thread, sequins, paper flowers and fleur de lys, and all edges of the fan are bound with silver coloured paper, mounted in a late 20th Century wall hanging display case, case size 39cm x 60cm (Condition:- the fan has not been removed from the case, the sticks appear intact, some losses to the silver binding paper around the edges and a small tear above a stick to the right hand side)

A PAIR OF GEORGE III CAST SILVER CANDLESTICKS, maker J.H, London 1764, each on square pedestal stepped gadrooned base, with baluster knopped and faceted stem with spool-form socket and square gadrooned nozzle, crested. 29.5cm, 66.3 troy ouncesCONDITION REPORTThese candlesticks are cast and not weighted. Marks are slightly rubbed but legible. One with a small crack in the seam to a knop above the base. The same stick with a small dint to another knop. Each stands upright and does not rock. In generally good condition commensurate with age.
A PAIR OF GEORGE V SILVER CANDLESTICKS, by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, London 1916, the circular base with reeded rim and a band of stylised petals, raised on a knopped baluster stem with fluted section and conforming decoration, the detachable circular sconce with reeded rim, weighted. Approx. 26cm highCONDITION REPORTMarks clear - maker's mark double-struck to one stick; one sconce with maker's mark 'GH' (possibly George Howson), the other overstruck with G&S Co Ld mark; all pieces with conforming date letter. Both stand upright, very minor rocking to base of one. Various small dings throughout; light surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use
A GROUP OF VICTORIAN BANDED AGATE JEWELLERY, comprising: A NECKLACE OF SLIGHTLY GRADUATED BEADS, length 61.5cm; ANOTHER BEAD NECKLACE, length 43.5cm; A BRACELET, of graduated oval links, length 19cm; A RING, ring size N1/2; and A STICK PIN, with a glazed locket back. (5)CONDITION REPORTThe larger bead necklace is loosely strung to black cotton and restringing is recommended, the beads range in size from 13.5-18.70mm approximately. The smaller bead necklace has one bead with large reglued chip, a couple of other beads with some minor chips. Both necklaces fasten with tongue and concealed box clasps. The largest link to the bracelet measures 3cm x 2.5cm, there is light general wear, is fastens with a tongue and concealed box clasp, with safety chain. Agate to all pieces with light general wear. No pieces are hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold.
A ROCK CRYSTAL STICK PIN, a cushion-cut rock crystal in a claw setting, 2.6 grams; and A VICTORIAN GOLD IN QUARTZ ROCK BROOCH, in a fancy claw setting, measures 3cm by 4.2cm. (2)CONDITION REPORTThe quartz measures 9.34mm x 8.12mm approximately. Both in good overall condition, neither are hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold.
A VICTORIAN SHELL CAMEO BROOCH, the oval cameo carved depicting the bust of a Bacchante, in a pivoting setting and a woven frame, measures 5.5cm by 4.5cm; together with TWO OTHER SHELL CAMEO BROOCHES; A VICTORIAN IVORY DOG'S HEAD STICK PIN; and A SILVER BANGLE. (5)CONDITION REPORTBacchante cameo with some minor wear to the frame, the cameo pivots but the reverse is vacant. Other items with general wear.
