Ca. 2100 - 1500 BC. A petite clay tablet with a lightly convex obverse face, and rounded peripheries. The tablet displays seven full lines for each side of inscribed cuneiform text made by impressing a sharpened reed or stick into the still-wet clay before being placed inside a kiln. Cuneiform was generally a pictographic style of writing in its infancy, though it became a more abstract style of letter-based script around the 3rd millennium BC. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550-1070 BC. A wooden case composed of two tubes joined by a reinforcing projection at the top, featuring a drilled hole for the pivot of the lid. The case contains two wells and originally stored a small wooden stick for application. Makeup, especially focused on the eyes, was common in Ancient Egypt to replicate the appearance of the sun gods Re or Horus. Kohl eyeliner, made from powdered antimony, burnt almonds, black copper oxide, and brown ochre, was frequently used. Size: 50mm x 50mm; Weight: 28g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014, acquired from Kurt Flimm. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.

A Large Oak Farmhouse Table, with five plank top, single drawer, chopping board slide, on chamfered square supports united by 'H' stretcher, 250cm long, 92cm wide, 80cm high.the baton ends joints stick out, 3.5cm thick, a repair to the edge of the table top MORE IMAGES ADDED TO OUR WEBSITE. The table appears to have been repolished but otherwise in original condition apart from comments above.

'9CT' dress studs, 1.7 grams. The stick pins are unmarked but in our opinion would test as gold, 3.8 grams. Paste brooches, 22.6 grams. Watch and chain gross weight, 126.2grams.

Emerald and diamond stick pin - the stick pin is in fair condition, the emerald is close backed and it is possible that it is foil backed, it is unmarked, but in our opinion would test as gold, 4.3 grams. Diamond stickpin is unmarked, but in our opinion would test as gold, 2.9 grams.
