GIADA DI MONTAGNA CON INTAGLIO DI UN PAESAGGIO CON FIGURE. Cina, dinastia Qing, XVIII secolo - A MOUNTAIN JADE WITH CARVING OF LANDSCAPE WITH FIGURES China, Qing dynasty, 18th century Giada color céladon con poche chiazze russet sul verso. Intaglio dell’intera pietra con iscrizione sul recto. 12,5 x 11,2 x 6,6 cm Sfruttando la forma naturale della giada, è stato intagliato un paesaggio roccioso che invita l’occhio a intraprendere una passeggiata insolita, racchiusa nel microcosmo della pietra. Lo scenario trova la sua spiegazione nell’iscrizione che riproduce una famosa poesia di Qian Qi (710-782). Articolata in quattro versi di cinque caratteri ciascuno, la poesia è intitolata Guardando il monte Lu dalla barca sul fiume Yangtse: »Il monte Lu sembra così vicino, ma vento e pioggia mi spaventano. Non sarò in grado di arrampicarmi. Mi chiedo se sotto le nuvole e la nebbia, non ci siano ancora monaci dell'epoca delle Sei Dinastie che vivono nelle grotte.« In basso vediamo due figure che si sono fermate davanti ad un torrente impetuoso. La capanna in alto sembra davvero irraggiungibile. - Céladon jade with a few russet veins on the back. The whole block of stone is carved and features an inscription on the front. 4.92 x 4.41 x 2.60 in. By optimising the natural shape of the jade, a rocky landscape was carved that invites the viewer to embark on an unusual journey within the microcosm of the stone. The scenery finds an explanation in the inscription that reproduces a famous poem by Qian Qi (710-782). Divided into four verses of five characters each, the poem is entitled Gazing at Mount Lu from a boat on the Yangtze: »Mount Lu seems so close, but wind and rain frighten me. I will not succeed in climbing. I ask if beneath the clouds and fog, there are no longer the monks of the Six Dynasties who live in the caves.« At the bottom we see two figures who have stopped in front of an impetuous stream. It seems truly impossible to reach the hut at the top. € 2000

Sui due lati del ventre sono intagliati in rilievo dei leoni buddhisti (shishi, detti anche 'cani di Fo') che giocano con la palla, simbolo di forza e potere. Sul coperchio troneggia un elefante sellato con un carico a forma di fiore buddhista, scolpito in tuttotondo. Le impugnature sono a forma di testa di leone con anelli pendenti. Sulla spalla incisioni di petali, sui bordi leiwen (meandri). Base in legno, intagliato a leiwen. Altezza 35,2 cm (base inclusa) - China, 18th Century “Mutton fat” jade with some darker inclusions. On both sides of the vessel body, there are high relief carvings of Buddhist lions (shishi, also called “Foo Dogs”) playing with a ball, symbol of strength and power. On the lid stands a saddled elephant with a load in the shape of a Buddhist flower, carved in the round. The handles are shaped like a lion's head with pendant rings. In cima al coperchio è scolpito in tuttotondo un drago attorcigliato. Base a due piani in legno intagliato. Tracce di plastilina gialla sui piedi e sul supporto. Altezza 17 cm (base inclusa), diametro orlo 7,7 cm L'imperatore Qianlong (reg. 1736-1795) era appassionato di sculture in giada e pietre dure e ammirava forme e decorazioni dei vasi antichi. Raffigurante un paesaggio montuoso, con due alberi di pino e una gru con la zampa alzata, che insieme esprimono l'augurio di lunga vita e di vecchiaia serena. Base in legno intagliato. Altezza 10 cm (base inclusa), diametro 4 cm Provenienza Donato nel 1972 all’attuale proprietario da Harry Chan, Milano (def. “Vasetto di giada bianca antica primi settecento”). - Uniform white jade, worked in slight bas-relief, depicting a mountainous landscape, with two pine trees and a crane with its paw raised. Pine tree and crane reveal the wish for a long life and a peaceful old age. Carved wooden base. Height 3.94 in. (including base), diameter 1.57 in. COMPOSIZIONE IN GIADA DI MONTAGNA CON SAGGIO E QILIN SOTTO L’ALBERO DELLE PESCHE DELL’IMMORTALITÀ Cina, dinastia Qing, epoca Qianlong, XVIII secolo - A COMPOSITION IN JADE OF A MOUNTAIN WITH SAGE AND QILIN UNDER THE PEACH TREE OF IMMORTALITY Nefrite beige e russet con venatura grigia in basso, sapientemente integrata nella composizione. Sul verso le rocce della montagna, sul recto un anziano immortale un po' curvo con un fiore in mano, accompagnato da un qilin, l'animale leggendario di cui si distingue il corno unico e il corpo da cervo. L'albero, le cui foglie arrivano quasi a toccare le nuvole, sembra un pesco, con grandi frutti maturi che donano l'immortalità a chi li mangia. 18,7 x 15,4 x 7 cm - China, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period, 18th Century Beige and russet nephrite with grey veining at the bottom, skillfully integrated into the composition.
