A very rare Art Deco jade green coloured GPO 200 series desk telephone, dated 1935, of pyramid form with an alphabet dial and matching green braided handset cord, the base marked PL '35/234 No.162 F, height 16cm (s.d)Notes: The Art Deco 200 series telephones of the 1930's were issued in standard black bakelite. Affluent customers could however order coloured models which attracted substantially higher rental rates. The jade green model is considered to be the rarest of all.
Lot composed of a Chinese toggle, a jade carving, a soapstone carving and a jade and silver bangle China, Qing dynasty, 18th - 19th century . Including a toggle figure of a man (5 X 2,5 cm); a pale green jade carving of a fish (l. 6,5 cm); a jade bracelet with silver fittings incised with vegetal motifs (diam. 8 cm) and a small soapstone carving of a Pho dog (l.4 cm).. Cm 6,50.
A 9 carat gold citrine ring, an octagonal cut citrine in a claw setting, finger size K1/2, a turquoise ring, finger size N1/2, a 9 carat gold jade ring, finger size N and a 9 carat gold garnet cluster ring, finger size K1/2 (4)The rings are in good condition. The turquoise is heavily discoloured. The turquoise ring is stamped '18' and in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 14.6 grams. Condition Report made 28th July 2017.
A Chinese Qianlong period pale green and brown snuff bottle of plain oval form with floral carved fat jade topper and stained ivory spatula, height 7.5cm, with Christie's paperwork stating 'Emperor Qianlong, 1750'. CONDITION REPORT: General surface wear, some pitting and abrasions, pronounced to base (see picture), finial of spoon with crack and further wear, cork with splits, spoon body with wear (see pictures), letter with central tear.
