Lot 51
A GOOD QUALITY 17TH CENTURY CHINESE LATE MING DYNASTY CELADON JADE TWO HANDLED CUP, together with a good quality carved and pierced hardwood stand, the cup of archaic form and carved with rows of studs to its sides, 2.25in high overall, the cup itself 4.5in wide including handles & 2.75in diameter at rim & 1.3in high to top of handles. (sold together with an original purchase receipt dated 1938)

A collection of gold coloured jewellery, to include: a tapered textured bar with three graduated reconstituted turquoise and round cut ruby set elephant surmounts, to a tourmaline crystal tip, stamped 14k; an enamelled butterfly and jade set fan brooch; a sapphire and eight cut diamond 9 carat gold necklace, with partial 9 carat gold import mark; a fancy link necklace stamped 585; a 9 carat gold ring; and other items; 23.8g gross
Lot 305
A Republic period miniature vase with hand painted landscape decoration and with four character Qianlong mark, and a carved jade figure of Guanyin, 20th century, standing holding a Ruyi and a fan, upon a wooden stand, 10.5 cm and 18.5 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: The Republic vase has no post production faults and is in good order throughout with no visible signs of cracks, chips or restorations. However, there is a small brown pinhead size blemish to the rear of the neck which has been done in manufacture. The jade figure of Guanyin is missing the finger tips of her left hand which is holding the fan behind her. Other than that there appear to be no obvious faults.
Lot 309
A jade figure of a young boy, early 20th century, carrying a peony flower over his shoulder, the stone generally a uniform colour throughout, albeit small white speckles to his feet, affixed to a wooden stand, the jade 6.7 cm, overall 8 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a small chip to the rim of the upper most petal at the rear. There is a very fine polished line issuing from the base of the figure approximately 1.5 cm up to the front of its legs however this appears to be a fracture line in the material itself and not something that has been done post production. The figure is glued to its wooden base. Other than those faults mentioned there are no further obvious faults or flaws visible.
Lot 718
A Chinese jade bracelet, with seven cabochons each in pierced setting (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bracelet is gold mounted. It is stamped to the rear of the clasp WS18. Weight 23.2 grams. We do not know if the jade is natural or treated. The jade is translucent and when held up to the light has different tones of green and a cloudy sort of effect. In our opinion the jade cabochons have a nice polish.
Lot 248
A pair of Chinese applique panels, 20th century, each with carved jade and soapstone vase with flowers above a recumbent deer with Lingzhi Buddhist wheel and carved bone peach, pomegranate and Buddha fingers (citrus fruit) upon an ebonised stand, all against a black lacquer ground and within a Cinnabar lacquer frame carved with Lingzhi, lotus, prunus and bamboo and cast metal suspension bracket, 100.5 cm x 34.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both panels are in very good condition throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or losses. However, one panel does have a small lacquer chip to the rear approximately 2 cm long above which is a 14 cm fine scratch. The panel with the scratch at the rear has a very small indent to the top right hand corner of the frame.

A 19th century Persian jade handled dagger The handle with gilt detailing and ruby cabochons, housed in a white metal mounted leather sheath. 30 cm long. CONDITION REPORTS: Some cabochon and settings lacking, some gilt loss, chips to top of handle, rust wear and pitting to blade, some natural cracks to jade, wear to sheath, general wear.
