A CHINESE OCTOFOIL HARDWOOD AND JADE COVERED BOX carved with figures beneath a pine tree, 8.5cm high, 12cm wide and 10cm deep The following lots (98 to 134) belonged to Rev. Dugald Christie CMG (1855-1936). He was a missionary active in China, founder of the Sheng Jing Clinic and Mukden Medical College in Mukden. He qualified in both medicine and surgery from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. In 1882-83 he was sent to Mukden (now Shenyang) in North-eastern China as a medical missionary. Later the clinic grew into a hospital and in 1911/12 Rev Christie became the first Principal of the Mukden Medical College and the first medical college to be opened in North-eastern China. Condition Report: 11.5 oz overall including bamboo. four cracks to underside of cover presumably natural flaws.
Lot 76
18ct yellow gold and platinum carved jade and diamond set drop earrings. These long carved mottled light green Jadeite panels are mounted on platinum wires set with a round brilliant cut diamond spacer connecting the drop with a circular floral carved disc. 5.58grms CONDITION REPORT: Jade appears in good condition, some natural flaws. Both diamonds have inclusions.

Chinese late 19th or early 20th Century carved jade figure of a warrior on a horse, in mottled grey/green jade, the soldier in armour with sword to his sides. 12.5cm x 11.5cm CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition. Natural crack/flaw over the tail and an other from the forehead down the back of the figure.

A Vintage Noritake Ceramic Lidded Condiments Jar And Twin Handle Miniature Vase Circa 1930's raised on circular base with gilt trim tripod feet, the whole in jade green with applied gilt trim and white and yellow floral decoration. Together with miniature ovoid vase with twin handles and stylised oriental decoration throughout. Together with a Moriage twin handle bud vase with hand painted flowers and beaded moriage work in blue, red, pink, and highlighted with all over small white beading. Good condition, height, 4.5 inches.

A Chinese dark green jade disc, Bi Warring States The opaque dark green stone with dark brown and cloudy inclusions of even thickness, the surface of both sides worked with 'comma' scrolls in a hexagonal grid within single line borders. 13.5cm dia. Weight: 161g. Inner circle 4.4cm dia. Thickness approximately 4mm. Three small chips to rim edge. Nibbling to inner ring edge. Natural fissure across width. Minor surface abrasions throughout - not disfiguring. Please refer to images.

A Chinese pale green jade 'chilong' disc, Bi Qing Dynasty The pale green stone with russet staining and cloudy inclusions, worked to one side with two chilong and to the other with arranged groups of 'C' scrolls. 8cm dia. Fine natural fissure across width. Minor signs of age throughout - not disfiguring. Please refer to images.

A Group of four Chinese hardstone carvings 19th/20th century Including a pale green jade bi disc carved with stylised lotus flowers and leaves, 12.5cm dia., a white quartz figure of a guardian lion, 5.5cm high, an apple green jadeite figure of an elephant, 5cm high, and a rose quartz figure of a bird, 6.5cm high. (4) Bi disc: Good. Lion: Negligible signs of age. Elephant: Crack to right ear. Bird: Some natural internal fractures.
