Litster, 74th Highlanders", chinoiserie relief embossed figural decoration, blade length 69cm, overall length 87cm. Thomas Litster served with the 74th Highland Regiment of Foot and 2nd Battalion, Highland Light Infantry, being deployed to India, Gibraltar, Malta, Hong Kong and Egypt for the Battle of Tel-el-Kebir. Litster was employed as Sergeant Major and Staff Paymaster, also Mentioned in Despatches and finally promoted to Quartermaster and Honorary Captain in 1893.
