A fine and rare Chinese Qing dynasty bronze censer of archaic form mounted which is has later been fitted with a well carved dark hardwood stand and cover. Both the cover and stand exhibit a quality of carving rarely seen. The lid has been mounted with a lovely pale celadon to white jade pendant of a dog. There is a six character incised inscription along the interior. A CHINESE BRONZE & JADE INCENCE BURNER / CENSOR WITH HARDWOOD STAND, the bronze censor stood on three feet, the side moulded to imitate a flower with two formed handles, the fitted hardwood lid houses a green / white carved jade frog,the base of the censor with a carved two character mark, comes with its carved and pierced fitted hardwood stand, the censor itself: 8.7cm high inc. handles, 14.5cm diameter, overall 15.5cm high.

The necklace comprises of beads including agate beads from Mesopotamia, currency beads, a turquoise bead from Iran, a jade bead from China and various glass beads from Tibet. Originally strung on silk but later restrung on nylon. Acquired from Christies 40+ years ago. The necklace originally came from Samarkand (Uzbekistan), approx 49 cms.
