*Val Barry (1937-2018) four porcelain 'sword forms': each of narrow slab built form with distorted profile and notched margins extending into incised lines and an angular rim, under pale celadon glazes, two with additional brown staining, impressed personal seals, 30 - 33 cm high.*Notes - Val Barry conceived her sword forms after her 1978 CPA sponsored trip to China and a subsequent visit to an exhibition of jade sword hilts at the British Museum.
