A 19th century Black Forest carved stick stand in the form of a tree with a bear raised on back paws with bear cub seated on the top of the tree, centred with an oval bevelled edge mirror, flanked by a naturalistic stick hoop and lift-out drip tray set in naturalistic base, height 217cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: The two most outer points of the tree branches are snapped off, one more significant than the other and an additional piece detatched but present, the join for the branches and the tree are visible and the stick loop has a later phillips head screw visible, base section drip tray in need to tlc and refinishing, some minor scuff and scrapes to the base, otherwise ok and overall in aesthetically pleasing condition

A rhinoceros horn walking stick, c.1890, possibly Indian, with a tapered shaft, mounted with a silver pommel and central band, with a white metal ferrule, 87.5cm longCondition ReportTotal weight 419g. General knocks, dents and tarnish to silver. Some light surface wear and scratches to horn. The cane appears to be a single piece, however, we are unable to view beneath the silver mount, therefore cannot comment with absolute certainty on its construction.
