dating: 19th Century provenance: India, Extraordinary, curved, single-edged blade, in damask, with central fuller next to the back, starting from a chiselled and gilded lily, chiselled and partially gilded 'T'-back, the last part toward the tip with grooves and raisers next to the back, engraved and gilded at the girdle. Right side finely engraved with arabesques on a grained and gilded ground, with cartouches with inscriptions in Arabic, gilded as well, the opposite part with a cartouche with inscriptions and floral decorations at the base. Inscriptions recite verses from the Koran, such as 'Bismillah ar-Rahman r Rahim', 'Saif ala Sulfiqar' and 'Ala ali (ra)'. hilt with quillon and langets in gilded silver, finely engraved with floral motifs in bass-relief, with 'S'-quillons pierced at the ends. Jade grip, chiselled with a horse's head at the pommel and decorated with floral motifs in bass-relief at the base. Remains of wooden, leather-covered scabbard, with seams in metallic thread. All the mounts are missing (maybe taken for their value, because most likely they were in gold). dimensions 98.4 cm.
dating: circa 1800 provenance: India, Small, silver quillon with two, short quillons, curved inside and carved with in-the-round monster's head, with wide open jaws and eyes in red stones. Quillon block with a row of nine cabochons on both facets, red as well. Remains of gilding. Jade grip, finely decorated in bass-relief with rinceaux, and with two, chiselled ropes. Jade pommel (two small parts missing on the border), shaped as dome, one facet chiselled with rinceaux so as the grip, the other with petals. Cusped button, in jade as well, on a rounded base and chiselled with four petals. height 14,2 cm.
dating: circa 1800 provenance: India, Curved, double-edged blade, in fine damask, with double groove and central raiser, ribbed in the center at the tip and base. Grip in green jade, with small quillon with two curls and with floral chisels in bass-relief at the base and pommel (curved, circular and with a flower in bass-relief). Wooden scabbard, covered with fabric (restores), with remains of floral embroiders. length 37 cm.

A brown colored Archaic jade bi with the typical circular shape; six dragon heads carved on the outermost part of the disc; the interior decorated with " lucky clouds". In Chinese tradition, dragons are believed to be able to create clouds with their breath, one of the most important elements for Chinese, symbolizing the celestials realms. From the earliest times, these discoid artifacts associated with the sky and "heaven" were buried to accompany the deceased in the afterlife.
