Reiche Darstellung eines Lotusteichs in Unterglasur-Blau, die darin schwimmenden Goldfische in Aufglasur-Rot. Sehr detailreiche und feine Malerei auf Innen- und Außenseite der Schale. Insgesamt neun Fische, davon jeweils vier auf der Wandung, einer im Spiegel. Rebus-Illustration für ''jin yu man tang'': Mögen Gold und Jade dein Haus füllen! Kleiner Standring, geschweifter Rand. D. 12,8 cm. Ein Haarriss in der Wandung, daneben kleiner Chip an der Außenseite. Möglicherweise Nachbildung um 1900. Den Fischdekor-Objekten der späteren Ming-Dynastie wurden während der Fertigung besondere Aufmerksamkeit und Präzision gewidmet, so dass sie sich stets hoher Beliebtheit erfreuten. Das Symbol des Fischs im Lotusteich steht für den Segenswunsch nach häuslichem Wohlstand; im Daoismus galt der Fisch gleichsam emblematisch für den freien Geist der Philosophen und Denker. Unter Kaiser Jiajing kam der philosophischen Gedankenwelt des Daoismus eine führende Rolle am Hof zu, wovon die Fisch-Motivik auf den Porzellanen dieser Zeit kunstvoll berichtet.
