dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Strong, curved, double-edged blade made of damask, with double fuller. Heavy, dark-green, jade hilt, richly sculpted with grooves, narrowed at the center, the edges and the upper part carved with floral motifs in bas relief. Wooden scabbard with green-velvet covering (completely worn) with upper border featuring a braided cloth band and an old label. Suspension ring of white metal. Missing chape. length 36.5 cm.
