A collection of 20th century walking sticks, umbrellas and a shooting stick within a ceramic pot. Some of the sticks having metal collars, all of the umbrellas with wooden handles. The pot glazed in brown with impressed details and handles, H42.5cm Condition Report: All of the pot handles are present with no obvious breakages.
Five charms and an opal stick pin, comprising: a 9ct gold charm enclosing a 10 shilling note, British hallmarks, length 2.9cm; a charm designed as a watch tower; a charm designed as the Imperial State Crown; a fob seal set with smoky quartz carved with a lyre and a laurel spray; an additional carnelian fob seal; and a black opal stick pin, opal 14 x 6mm, possibly a doublet Smaller fob seal missing top hoop. Overall light wear and discoloration commensurate with age and wear. Reuben Ward Binks (1880-1950), an enamel stick pin, circa 1917 topped with an oval enamel portrait of an English Bulldog within a rope twist border, the reverse inscribed ‘Aldridge Acquitania' signed R Ward Binks, dated 1917, length 5.5cm, enamel miniature 18 x 17mmReuben Ward Binks (1880-1950) was a celebrated miniature painter of the early 20th century, who specialised in canine portraits. His subjects included Edward VII's beloved terrier Caesar (also famously immortalised in a hardstone study by Fabergé), followed by dogs belonging to four generations of the British Royal Family, and 150 dogs for the Maharajah of Patiala, which he traveled to India to paint in 1925. The pedigree for the English Bulldog Aldridge Acquitania, the subject of the present stick pin, is available online, her birthdate recorded as 5th December 1913. In good condition, skilfully painted, some minor scratches, the portrait miniature probably later mounted in to the stick pin. Pin slightly off centre. Signature and inscription to reverse in good condition, some minor wear. A pair of drum sticks previously belonging to Brian Downey, drummer of Thin Lizzy. They were obtained after a concert at the Apollo, Manchester Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the original recipient confirming the above. Each drum stick measures 40cm (15.7 inches). They show signs of wear with small marks and scuffs to the surface. The condition is very good.
TRIANG - SCALEXTRIC - two vintage Triang Scalextric sets comprising a vintage boxed A/201 Event Board and Hut set together with a vintage boxed A/228 Refreshment Kiosk.The Event board and hut have a little storage dust and staining but overall appear to have very little wear and in about very good plus or better condition for its age. The slides and tannoy speakers appear to be clean, and instructions and paperwork (to stick to the slides - still uncut and unstuck) noted.The Refreshment Kiosk comes with the its tea urn / samovar, 2 x food displays, flag and pole, red storage box, roof etc. It has a little storage dust and wear but overall appears to be in about very good or better condition for its age.The boxes have some storage wear commensurate with age and an historic sellotape mark to the lid but appear overall appear to be in sound, about very good or possibly better condition for their age.The items have not been tested and have not been checked for completeness.
