The enamel is in lovely condition with no chips and losses and no apparent surface scuffs or scratches. The gold work is in wonderful crisp condition, with no damage or signs of repair. The marks and inventory number are very clear and easily readable. There are no chips, scuffs or scratches to the rock crystal, although the rock crystal wobbles in its mount. A Victorian silver baluster shaped wine ewer with applied grape and vine decoration (by Edward John and William Barnard, London 1868), 28.9 oz CONDITION REPORTS There are a couple of small dents and a larger dent to the belly on one side. No obvious broken parts to the grape vines, however, there are two bits that stick out near the handle which have small dots of silver / solder ot the underneath. Unsure if this was previously re-positioned, however, can't see this being the case. See images for more detail / explanation. Sits flat and upright. No signs of solder repair, however, on the underside of the foot, in the rim, there is a slightly raised area of solder but this was possibly during manufacture. Again, see image for more details. Lid is missing. There is no lid with this lot. Otherwise general wear and tear to include some light surface scratching, etc. See images for more details.
