A mid 19th Century Colbrookdale cast iron walking stick stand, cast as a Chihuahua holding a riding crop in his mouth and raised over a drip tray moulded as a lily pad leaf, approximately 63cm in height, two numbers stamped to base, 85297 and the no. 14. This design, number 85297, was registered and patented by the Coalbrookdale iron foundy at the public records office on 10th june 1852 and had become stand number 214 in their 1875 castings catalouge, section 2 , page 233.
