A Rare Mid 19th Century Irish Country Chair believed to have been made by a boat builder on the southern shores of Loch Neagh. The D-shaped elm seat with chamfered under-edge and a tapering chamfered upright to the centre back with two overlapped diagonal bent ash slats having circular cut terminals emanating from the splayed front posts and threaded through side slots of the back post secured by wooden pegs. The seat morticed & wedged with splayed stick legs, 36½ ins (93 cms) high, 22 ins (56 cms) wide, 20 ins (51 cms) deep.
