My managers name and address. Henry Vallana, Glen Branter, Strachur. Hope I shall see you before long Yours Sincerely Harry Lauder" Victoria Hotel, Geelong July 6, 1919 "My dear Mr Reynard, it has been a course of pleasure to Lady Lauder and I to receive so many kind letters of congratulations. None do we appreciate more than the one from 'Manuel House' i hope to smoke a pipe and crack a story wi ye when I get back 'Hame' yours sincerely Harry Lauder" Two photographs of Charlie Chaplin and Harry Lauder standing together arm in arm on a bright day before a wooded slatted building, 10x7.5cm. Chaplin with a bamboo walking stick which forms part of this lot, 85.5cm long Estimate on request Provenance: The present owners grandfather, John Reynard of Manuel House, Linlithgow, gave Lauder one of his first jobs in a show (possibly for charity) 1918-19. The walking stick was given by Chaplin to Lauder and then to John Raynard
