Graf von Zeppelin’s Walking Stick. Presented to him by Hugo Eckener, probably to commemorate 5 years of operations of the experimental military Zeppelin LZ3, which was launched on the 9TH OCTOBER 1906. This ebony stick measures 84.5cm and is fitted with a curved silver grip which is signed by (engraved) Hugo Eckener, dated 9th October 1911 and is furnished with Count von Zeppelin’s family crest. Together with a top hat with a ‘Z’ gold thread cypher inside, believed to belong to Graf Zeppelin. See Plate 28
