A Fine Quality 19th Century English Engraved Fruitwood Walking Stick having a burr figured knop handle above bands of elborately engraved decoation: a crest to the top and ten tiers predominantly depicting hunting scenes with a figural scene and ships to the base, 33½ ins (85 cms) in length.
A Fine Early 19th Century Folk Art Walking Stick of elaborately carved boxwood signed R. Budgen Fecit. The handle carved in the form of a man's head wearing a cap embellished with small silvered nail heads above twin animal heads, a clump of roses & thistle, and a scaly serpent entwined around the shaft interlaced with ribbons inscribed: Vivant Victoria, Liberty & Concord, Industry, Friendship, Love etc. The serpent's tail looped around three protuberant face masks with beaded eyes and further inscriptions; Hypocrisy, Bigotry, Tyrany The rustic shaft leading on to a a carved handshake, 34¼ ins (87 cms) in length.
Rare 19th Century New Zealand Toko Toko stick, the tapering stick with carved figure in long jacket, alone set eyes, arm across chest, later finial top, the stick belonged to the vendors great grandfather whom was farming in New Zealand in the mid to late 19th Century, then passed down by decent, 85cm high

A Pitcairn Island wooden basket with a walking stick the basket 19.5cm diameter, this lot is accompanied by a photograph and an explanation; The reverse of the photograph is inscribed "Man with hat on is the Chief Magistrate of Pitcairn Island - Mr Morris Young, man with back to camera is Mr Nelson Dyett, the Radio Officer, Pitcairn, who was a passenger on the author's ship. The author was Captain Gerald McCraith, his ship plyed between New Zealand and the UK, always calling in at Pitcairn. The lady in the photograph is most probably Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester who mentions in her autobiography visiting Pitcairn on board the 'Rangitan' in 1947"
