A collection of various horn handled riding crops to include malacca caned examples and crop sections bearing various leather thongs, a silver ferrule, etc CONDITION REPORTS One crop has been completely broken in two, leather is coming away from the ferules, all thongs appear intact, the leather tongues appear to have been replaced, the ferules are loose on a couple - particularly the woven metal ferule, all items have been used and have knocks, scrapes, bumps etc One malacca cane stick - varnish is crazing
Two general purpose saddles, together with a box containing assorted bits, leading reins, whips, shooting stick, binoculars and a black John Deere lunch box CONDITION REPORTS Binoculars are Barr & Stroud CF24 Extra 8x30 wide angle, lenses have internal dirt. A rare 18th Century brass mounted horse measuring stick, the brass label inscribed "Wogdon. Gun Maker Cockspur Street Charing Cross London", 230 cm long CONDITION REPORTS The vertical measure is one piece, has a metal foot plate and the base is water stained and has some cracking. There are knocks and cracks all over particulaly around the knots of wood. There is a chunk missing on the horizontal section where it meets the vertical measure. There is a chunk missing from the top of the horizontal section. The screw to the centre appears to be a replacement. The plumb line is missing. There are a couple of brass nails missing and some screws appear to be replacements. There are scuffs, knocks, scratches all over and general wear and tear conducive with age and use. A large chip to the top of the horizontal section. See images for more details
