AN AMERICAN TOMMY GREEN GOLF FIGURE STICK. Date: 1921. Country: American. From the highly collectible Schoenhut's Indoor Golf game, this character is in superb condition. He can hardly have been used at all, he was introduced in the U.S.A. in 1921 by Schoenhut who had already become famous for their wooden circus animals and it went on to be one of their most successful toys ever.
A GIANT IVORY PERISCOPE OR PAPARAZZI STICK. Date: 1900. Country: French. Sold in 1900 by the St. Etienne stick makers the Giant Eye was an overnight success. The top detaches and a camera is screwed to the top of the stick with a remote shutter puller. This is then raised aloft and by looking through the lens in the ferrule end of the cane you can see over a wall or crowd to ascertain where the camera is pointed. Fantastic fun. French. 37ins long.

Various tennis and badminton racquets together with a lacrosse stick and hockey stick and a rucksack CONDITION REPORTS All items are in a used condition to include broken/fraying strings on the racquets. peeling paint work and varnish, the older tennis racquet has signs of worm to the handle, the racquet press has been repaired. There are some signs of splitting to the golf club shaft, several items have had their handle re-gripped. Rucksack is discoloured, stained and faded, labels appear to have been removed or fallen off. Leather has surface scratches etc. All has general wear and tear conducive with age and use
A turned horn powder flask, together with a pair of bone-handled boot pulls and a pair of wooden handled boot pulls, together with a shooting stick CONDITION REPORTS Horn powder flask is flaking all over, the top is askew from the base, has had nails inserted into the top of the body. Has had heavy wear. Boot pulls have rusting and patinated iron on both pairs. The handles are split, chipped, knocked, scratched etc. The shooting stick has wear tot he leather, surface scratching etc all over, patination to the metal, there are chips to the shaft, as to the base. Has general wear and tear, see images for more details. Powder flask measures approx 15cm in height.
