A late 19th century floor standing Majolica umbrella/stick stand, in the manner of Joseph Holdcroft or Minton, a stork beside bullrushes, having a frog in its beak, mounted on an oval base formed of stylized lilies (63cm). Condition Report: Overall good condition. Some damage to the top of the bullrushes, however the pieces are present, so repair is possible.
A pair of early 20th century silver squat candlesticks, Birmingham hallmarks 1903 (12cm). Condition Report: Both sticks do not show any signs of damage. One is missing its felt on the base and on the other the felt is coming away and the plaster infill is flaking, which in turn, makes it stand slightly unlevel. This same stick has slightly rubbed hallmarks. Date readable, all dates match.

Marriner, Skipton) plus South African silver 2 1/2 shilling coin, the reverse engraved with 33rd (The Duke of Wellington's Regiment) Foot South Africa 1899-1900 Major Sidney Fox Marriner was born in 1800 at Keighley, Yorkshire, he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in 3rd Battalion, Duke of Wellington's Regiment on 26 January 1900, promoted Lieutenant 15 November 1900, reengaged for WWI service with the regiment , serving on the Western Front including the Battle of the Somme, wounded (entitled to a silver war badge),mentioned in despatches and retired Major in 1919.
