A set of twelve mahogany framed dining chairs with carved and pierced triple stick backs inlaid with floral motifs, raised on square section tapering supports CONDITION REPORTS All have discolouration/fading to the frames and inlay. Leather is scuffed and marked varriously. Several chairs have old repairs to include one of the carvers. The other carver has one arm broken where it joins the back. One chair wobbles on the flat floor. All have wear and tear condusive to age and use see images for more details.

A Victorian Briggs black rhino horn walking stick, with silver handle engraved on the collar 'Lord Clinton, Carlton Club', initials 'C from M' and 'Egypt March 1898', hallmarks for London 1898, 89cm long. Please note that it is highly unlikely that an export licence outside the UK will granted The Carlton Club is a gentleman's club in London which describes itself as the oldest and most important of all Conservative clubs. The initials on the stick are believed to be that of Lord Clinton and Lord Milner, who was involved in trying to resolve the severe Egyptian Financial Crisis during this period. (1)
An enamel painted stick pin of a horse's head by William Bishop Ford, the grey horse with bridle, finely painted on a domed ceramic disc signed and dated on the back 'WBFord 1886', in a ropetwist and beaded mount, diameter 2.3cm, period fitted case William Bishop Ford (1832-1922) was a pupil of William Essex, the painter of miniature enamels for the royal family and after whom the term 'Essex crystal' was coined to describe reverse carved and painted miniature crystals. Ford exhibited at the Royal Academy and other venues during the second half of the 19th century; his subject matter, like Essex, was predominantly animals, and dogs and horses were favourites
