Pair early George V silver neoclassical-style candlesticks of tapering form, with raised bow and swag decoration, on stepped square bases (Birmingham 1912), maker's mark rubbed, 15.5cm overall height CONDITION REPORT General overall condition reasonable. One stick has visible splits where column joins base. Stem has been repaired at lower end below decoration. Top under candle holder has been repaired. Some surface wear, scratching and denting. Other stick top under candle holder poorly repaired. Stem has been repaired at lower and below decoration, base has been repaired. Some surface wear scratching and denting. Hallmarks rubbed on both sticks
AN ATTRACTIVE CARVED OAK HALL STAND, early 20th century, the shaped pediment with grotesque mask and scrolling foliage above a bevelled mirror plate, and four turned pegs, the mirror flanked with mythical winged beasts to either side above a domed and carved glove compartment and a stick and umbrella stand below, on turned supports, 36" (92cm).
