A Japanese Meiji period carved ivory okimono depicting a robed gentleman with net and tortoise, signed, no.15110 with red seal mark to base, height 14.5cm, also three further early 20th century carved ivory figures and group depicting father and child, a theatre/processional dancer with fan and a European gentleman in 17th century style dress, all unsigned (4). CONDITION REPORT: Signed example has an item missing to his back, further nibble to the sleeve and losses to the stick. Father and son figure is loose on base, loss to father's rope and child's stick. Actor/dancer has split to head and losses to thumbs, reglued to base, base with crack. Western style figure is cracked throughout, loss to left foot, left hand may also have been off and reattached.
