An unusual WWI First World war made wooden walking stick, made by British Private, William H. Mann. Names carved into the shaft, presumably fellow soldiers in his regiment, to include "Cyril", "Mac", "Syd", "Eric" & others. Measures approx 80cm long. Private William H. Mann 44434, served in the 2nd/5th Battalion of the Gloucestershire Regiment during the First World War. He was killed in action seven months before armistice day on the 24th April 1918. He is remembered with honour at the Loos Memorial in France.
