A good vintage signed 8 x 11.5 photograph, the Hugh Cecil image of London depicting the Duke of Windsor standing in a formal three quarter length pose. Signed `Edward´, as Prince of Wales, in bold black fountain pen ink to a partially dark area to the lower right corner of the image, adding the date, 1927, in his own hand. To the verso bearing a printed stick, stating it is a portrait by Hugh Cecil, numbered, and a 12mo printed card stating “H.R.H. The Prince of Wales K.G. - to Alderman Herbert Hicks J.P - in remembrance of H.R.H´s visit to Sandwich during his Mayoralty. Christmas 1927.” Matted to the photographer slightly larger mount, to an overall of 10 x 13.5. VG £400-600
