A Tunbridge ware rosewood writing box, of rectangular form, a hinged lid inset with a mosaic flower spray within a broad border of floral mosaic, The lid interior lined with a velvet writing surface the lower compartmentalised section with a tray and lined in green and gold chinoiserie paper with one floral mosaic lids and a glass inkwell with stick ware top 26x19cm condition report- , there are very small signs of wear on the corners, one has a little loss, a slight crack at the joins. There are some very light surface scratches on top. The interior is all in good condition for its age, there is a little loss on the handle of the compartment tray, otherwise good condition

Autographs, a rather terse typed letter dated 3 May 1932 written and signed by George Bernard Shaw on his own addressed writing paper, replying to inventor M. A Heane who submitted a number of his inventions to government for consideration. Includes prefabricated buildings and synchronised firing gear etc. He became a nuisance to Labour and Conservative governments, and was put in his place by Shaw who suggested he stick to his job as a mechanic and inventor. Sold with a collection of letters on House of Commons paper from MPs (inc. Manny Shinwell) and private secretaries acknowledging receipt of inventions for consideration etc (letters folded o/w mainly gd)

A pair of Sitzendorf German porcelain table candelabra depicting 18th century figures with ornately encrusted flowers and foliage, together with another Continental, probably German, table candelabra with encrusted figures, cherubs and encrusted flowers. (3) (B.P. 21% + VAT) Sitzendorf pair 45cm high approx. Both have some losses to the petals in places, one top has significant losses to leaves around sconce. Female stick has retained socket for arms, three branch finial candelabrum has general losses to petals in places, two cherub wings are missing.

Gugeri, London, a mahogany stick barometer the silvered dial signed Gugeri, London and engraved with stylised barometer markings and vernier gauge, the mahogany case with visible tube and having inlaid boxwood and ebonised stringing, a turned cistern to the base, glazed door to the dial and surmounted by an architectural pediment with brass finial, height 98cm.Gugeri were a well-known family of barometer makers including Andrew working in Holborn and Hatton Garden in the early-to-mid 1800s and Felix working in Leather Lane, London from circa 1850.

A group of three assorted fans. Including a large Asian painted fan, a parasol, and a small Chinese fan. The larger fan painted with a landscape, length of stick 89cm, the parasol decorated with a pair of cranes. Condition Report: All in very good condition, there is a small hole in the parasol.
A Burberry fox head walking umbrella. Having a manual snap stud closure, gold tone fox head handle, black stick, end, stretcher and ribs, gold tone tips, cap and ferrule. The fitted plum polyester cover with a gold tone plaque stamped 'Burberry Prorsum' attached to the clasp. L86cm Condition Report: Overall in good-very good condition. No tears or staining to the canopy however a couple of very small 'snags' and slight loose thread ends. Some wear to the end of the cap, ferrule and collar, the fastening around the handle and stick has become loose. No apparent repairs.
