A Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 18ct gold gentleman's wristwatch, with gilt coloured dial having applied stick batons surrounded by a linked minute track, interspersed by Roman numerals. Having two apertures for day and date, the latter with trademark cyclops, with thin pencil hands having central lume, the entire dial framed by a fluted bezel, Having twinlock crown, with Presidential 18ct gold strap, and hidden clasp. A mahogany chequer banded stick barometer by Comitti and Son of London, with a silvered dial, the case with a swan neck pediment centred with a turned brass finial, the turned cistern cover engraved with a presentation plaque relating to the firm of Pick Everard Keay, presented to a Geoffrey W Ireland, 98cm L.
A good set of four Victorian silver plated Corinthian column candlesticks, one only with mark of Martin, Hall & Co., the remaining three unmarked, circa 1880The square filled bases with rams’ head corners hung with laurel swags and acanthus leaf borders, detachable nozzles, each stick engraved above one of the base swags with a small crest of an elephant’s head erased surmounted by a martlet with outspread wings, 33cm high.
Rare, fine quality, early 18th century marine stick barometer, with concealed mercury tube and silvered rise and fall scales, signed Berge London late Ramsden and numbered 282, in a brass mounted "fiddle back" mahogany case, with boxwood cystern cover and inset ivory thermometer. Separate original brass gimbal. Circa 1800-1803. 116cm overall length. The scale on this barometer is engraved with number 282 and is very similar to another, by the same maker, held in The National Maritime Museum, engraved with the number 280. This particular barometer in the museum, is recorded, as being given as a gift, by Admiral Lord Nelson to one of his Captains.
