Porcelain dinner set including six dinner plates, six salad plates, one tazza or compote, one tray, and one lidded tureen connected to a tray, ca. 1891-1932. Each marked twice along the underside. Each with blue rims and gilt decoration throughout.Height ranges from 1 in to 8 in; diameter 8 1/2 in to 9 3/4 in; width ranges from 11 in to 12 in; width ranges from 5 in to 6 in.Condition: All pieces are in generally good condition. For most there are no losses to the gilding or painted decoration. Very light wear throughout, mostly located along footrim. No signs of restoration. There is a small chip along the oblong platter that seems to be original to production and has been gilded over. There are losses to the gilt decoration of the lidded platter. There is a small crack measuring approx. 1 inch long along the interior of the lid. The underside where the mark is not glazed. The larger plates all have light wear to the footrim. One plate has numerous small chips to the footrim. One plate has a few small chips to the footrim. One plate has a large yellow accretion along the bowl of the plate. The small plates all have light wear to the footrims. One plate with one small spot lacking glaze, likely original to production, along the underside along the rim.

A Pair of George III Silver-Tureens and Covers, by Benjamin Laver, London, 1782 each oval and on conforming beaded foot, the border with a band of flowerheads within foliage and on a textured ground, between beaded borders, with two scroll handles, the detachable cover with beaded border, chased foliage and foliage-cast and berried finial27.5cm wide, 45oz 17dwt, 1,425gr (2)Another pair by the same maker and of the same date was sold Bonhams, 12 December 2006, lot 384.Each fully marked on foot, the covers apparently unmarked. The marks are generally clear, though the maker's mark on one with some wear. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The finial on one cover has been pushed into the body and is bruised. There is a repair to the finial on the other cover. The foot on one has been pushed into the body. The base on one is bruised and so the tureen rocks slightly when placed on a flat surface.
