Greek Figural Skyphos with Ladies of FashionApulian, 4th century BC A ceramic skyphos enlivened in white and ochre slip showing to one face a standing female figure, her hair dressed in a patterned sakkos and radiate stephane, wearing pendant earrings and beaded necklace, dressed in a belted chiton, holding a patera in her left hand and a sceptre in her right; to the opposite face a lady of fashion with sakkos and radiate stephane, with pendant earrings and two-tier beaded necklace; a large palmette dividing the two scenes and a band of wave pattern around the rim. 165 grams, 11 cm.
