* A floor felt, Kirghizstan, acquired 1958. 147 cm x 354 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This rug was on the floor at Isel Hall and has been walked on. It is however little worn but does have minor condition issues, particularly around the edges which are showing slight signs of fraying. There are also small sections of the outer edge of the pattern in the rope twist type borders. These should be visible from our images. None of these are too significant. The colours particularly around the border are not uniform. The blue ground is not a uniform colour and neither is the red.
* A North East Turkey Caucasian rug, with rectangular centre panel with turquoise ground and repeating designs and with multiple line border. 118 cm x 168 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This rug is showing signs of its age. There are numerous areas that are worn which should be evident from our images. The edges of the piece are also frayed in areas and the colours are a little faded in places. The rug is also dirty and slightly misshapen.
* A large Kelim rug, the centre rectangular panel with red ground and repeating motifs and with multiple line border and plaited fringed ends. 150 cm x 285 cm excluding fringes (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This rug is in generally good condition with no significant damage or wear. The rug has clearly been walked on and is a little faded in places. There appear to be a few very small stitched repairs although these may well be part of the original construction. Any damage is minimal. The rug could do with a clean.
* A small Persian rug, with fringed ends, multiple fine line border and rectangular centre panel with repeating motif, and two further rugs, probably a saddle bag. Largest 106 cm x 113 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The bag faces are 80 cm x 83 cm and 81 cm x 78 cm, the lighter of the two is frayed and has losses to each corner. There is also a small rectangular repair of approximately 6 ins square which should be visible from our image. The second face is in better condition generally with only minor wear and fraying to the edges. The colours are darker and stronger. The accompanying rug is in generally good condition but looking at the centre pattern may have been reduced in size.
* Two Afghan rugs, mounted as wall hangings. Widest 120 cm x 132 cm excluding fringe (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The prayer rug is in generally good condition with no significant issues. There are a number of old small repairs and some minor wear but no real problems. The colours are strong and uniform. The accompanying rug is also in generally very good condition with very little wear. The colours are uniform. There appears to be one small edge repair to the piece which is an old professional restoration.
An Eastern prayer mat, with later bound edges, with repeating pattern to centre and decorated in a variety of colours, beige, blue and red. 111 cm x 180 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This rug is in generally reasonable condition. It is showing some signs of wear in places but there are no significant issues with the piece. The rug has been re bound at both ends and this is showing signs of fraying. This should be evident from our image. The colours are generally strong and there is minimal fading.
