BUSSEY, LONDON A RARE BOXED EARLY TARGET-TRAP SYSTEM, MODEL 'BUSSEY'S PATENT GYRO-PIGEON', circa 1880, the launching device fitted with a large screw-piece for mounting into wood or hard ground, the top designed to take a cocking bar which when wound tensions an internal clock-spring against a trigger which when released will cause the top to rotate at speed, launching a twin winged tin target, the whole contained within an iron reinforced wooden transit box with slip lid, the underside of lid with remnants of the original instruction label and complete with approximately 60 tin targets, each embossed with 'BUSSEY PATENTEE, PECKHAM, LONDON' and a spare mainspring unit
