The white dial and hands were designed to provide clear legibility, especially for night flying, and were specific to this model. The cases were sometimes composed of a steel back and an aluminium alloy upper case, a less reflective material used to reduce glare.

M. 6B/159 522/56', on a later fabric strap, case width 3.5cm Issued to RAF pilots and navigators, the Mark VII A 6B/159 wristwatch was used to calculate location and distance, containing a precision movement regulated to chronometer standards. Each wristwatch had to maintain a level of accuracy timed in various positions and at various temperatures accumulated over a twelve hour period. The case back for each wristwatch was inscribed 'A.M.' for Air Ministry, '6B' for 'Aircraft Navigation Equipment, Accessories and Unit Servicing Parts', and '159' for navigation watch, followed by a serial/issue number and year of manufacture.

Rare Omega Planet Ocean Seamaster 600m 'SAS Edition' stainless steel gentleman's bracelet watch, ref. 22005200, circa 2018, no. 879xxxxx, black dial with luminous inlaid silver markers and "arrow" hands, quarter Arabic numerals, date aperture and sweep centre seconds, Co-Axial chronometer automatic movement, the case with sixty minute rotating bezel and helium escape valve, the case back engraved with SAS insignia and signed '22 Special Air Service' with unique ZAP code, the side of case engraved with the SAS motto "Always A Little Further", Seamaster bracelet, 45.5mm - **This is a very rare opportunity to purchase this fine investment piece in new and unworn condition, with boxes and related cards. - **Entered for sale by the former SAS soldier serving from 1979-1991, eight years as Rank of Trooper. This piece was later issued by Omega in 2018, following a personal request after the soldier's original was stolen during a burglary. Following confirmation of the soldier's credentials, Omega produced this piece as a replacement. - **These watches were exclusively for members serving in the British Army 22 SAS Regiment based in Hereford. Each piece has an individual ZAP code to identify each watch with the original owner. The case backs are engraved with the SAS winged dagger badge insignia and the motto "Always A Little Further" has been laser engraved into the side of the case, it is thought as few as 300 were issued
