Major H. O. D. Segrave Golden Arrow and Miss England. A ribbon-tied programme, menu and guest list for the luncheon given by Sir Charles Wakefield on 11 March 1929 in honour of Major Segrave and to celebrate his World Land Speed and Motor Boat Championship. A 16pp booklet with the usually missing Wakefield Trophy overview and rules single-sided sheet. Condition is fair, but the cover edge has paper loss, and some staining. Also, a programme for the Roots Ltd exhibition of the Golden Arrow and Miss England at Devonshire House, with a double-page colour depiction by Bryan de Grineau of the car and a single-page picture of Miss England. 7pp and decorated cream cover. Together with a similar but rare hardbound promotion album titled 'Progress' with detailed text, well-defined images, colour decoration and photographs. The leather spine a little damaged, and corners bumped, otherwise a delight. Also, a folded brochure outlining John Cobb's 403mph Railton and a 1938 promotion called Speed Kings with Euston and Cobb imaged. (5)

Peppiatt, serial number H17A 008434, overprinted - Withdrawn from Circulation September 18th 1941, stop after 1941 on obverse but not reverse, fine, pressed, folded, creased.
O. Fattori (18th/19th century), A naval engagement oil on canvas, signed lower right, in a 19th century carved giltwood foliate frame 27 x 38¾in. (68.5 x 98.5cm.) * Condition: Relined, extensive craquelure across the canvas and extensive repainting visible around the margins and also a large patch to the right hand side of the sky. Some smaller retouches visible elsewhere and extensive fine retouching to craquelure lines throughout.

Manton Ltd., Birmingham 1944; an unusual filigree cheroot holder; a silver Yard-O-Lead pencil; a mother of pearl and silver folding fruit knife; button hook; a ring; and a miniature basket, gross weight 7.8 tr.oz. (qty) * All pieces appear good, no large dents or splits found.

Hicks, Stroud Team Trial 1927 2nd Class, a similar medal to H.M.Hicks Cotswold Cup 1927, a Bronze Motor Cycle Club to H.M.Hicks, Lands End - John O' Groats, 1927 and a bronze and enamel medal ACU South Western Centre to H Hicks, Open Sporting Reliability Trial 1923 (4).
MG - O Wad Some Power the Giftie A rare 1929 large format 12pp brochure, highlighting the activities of the company at a time of their move to Abingdon, having a tipped-in depiction of the Abingdon factory covering that of Edmunds Road in Oxford. Discussed is the Cpt Samuelson success in the Monte Carlo, Chiesman in the L to L, tributes from Malcolm Campbell and others, monochrome images. Some creasing to the cover edges, some soiling, the laid paper editorial with a little foxing, otherwise sound. Also, 'Adventures in France', a 1929 12pp leaflet discussing the use of a 14/40 through France, Good, clean condition. (2)
Early 20th Century Children's Pictorial Transport Volumes An interesting selection of mainly quarto-size volumes in pictorial boards, all from the first half of the 20th Century, the covers generally a bit rubbed on the corners and spines, but mostly quite clean internally, and with very attractive colour illustrations. The titles comprise: A Book of Many Motors, A Book of Engines, and The Big Book of Engines, all published by Blackie; All on Wheels, and The Motor Book (with card covers), both published by Nelson; and a rather worn volume in worn and soiled thin card covers published by Geographia, London and dating from about WWI entitled Motors of All Sorts; Out-Door Sports, loose in boards, with verses by Louise A. Bingham and colour vignette illustrations, produced by the Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron, Ohio, plus a New York published volume with card covers entitled Around the World in an Automobile; and O'Galop's L'Auto K.6.O.20, with French text, written and illustrated by the author, Paris, Librairie Garnier Freres, 1921. Two children's painting books: The Painting Book, published by Betal Games (unused), and Motors to the Front!, published by Father Tuck's 'Patriotic' Series (partially completed, rather neatly) complete the lot. Turquoise three-stone ring, gipsy-set, in 18ct gold, 1909, size O, 2.6g.CONDITION REPORT: The stones are not tested. The stone on the right is a darker shade to the other two stones. Looking through a glass you can see some age-related stains to the stones. The stones are secure in their settings. Marks on gold band are very clear. There are minor age-related surface marks to the band.
