Each Vol = 27.5 x 18.5cms; circa 1500pp, some colour plates plus full page & fold-out illustrations, black and white photos and drawings, fold-out pedigree charts, conformation points, anatomy, medical problems and treatments etc. The second set is of 'The Modern Plumber & Sanitary Engineer' by G. Lister Sutcliffe. 1909. 6 volumes. In decorative 'art' pictorial green boards, with Grecian lady decoration to the front board and bright gilt titles. Treating of plumbing, sanitary work, ventilation, heating, hot-water services, gas-fitting, electric lighting, bell-work, glazing, etc, by sixteen specialist contributors. With appendices of tables, memoranda, mensuration, etc. Illustrated by about eleven hundred figures in the text and about fifty plates, many of them in colour. (B.P. 21% + VAT) The Horse - Some minor edge wear to a few volumes & some fading/rubbing to the gilt of Vol. 9. Overall good to very good.Modern Plumber - A little 'patching' to a couple of rear boards, o/w in excellent VG Bright condition.
