Columbia opened conversations with the Burt Company of Millburn, New Jersey, which had previously done pressing work for Berliner. Burt hired recording engineer John English from Zon-O-Phone in March 1901. in August established the Globe Record Company as a subsidiary. Globe began producing its first 7in Climax discs, with embossed label. Globe attempted to sell these records itself. Climax Records are exceptionally rare.

A Freelance model of a triple expansion marine live steam engine, built by Mr D Russell of Frazerburgh based on the O.B.Bolton design but not built from Reeves casting. The engine with cylinders 7/8 inch,1 1/4 inch and 1 3/4 inch bore by 1 1/4 inch stroke. Cylinder drain cocks, Stephenson's link reserve, condenser, steam driven pump, steam inlet control wheel with valve, central crank with brass oiler cups, eccentric driven steam valves and solid 7cm diameter disc flywheel. The model finished in green paintwork with polished bright-work and mounted on hardwood plinth measuring 29cm x 21cm. Overall height 26cm.Condition Report: This engine is brand new and has never been run on air or live steam.It is based on the O. B. Bolton design but was not built from Reeves castings. A WWII group of five medals awarded to L W Saunders RM: 1939-45, Africa and Italy Stars, Defence and War Medals, with a letter to Mr Saunders from The Royal Marines Association confirming his entitlement to the medals, with medal ribbons, oak leaf, silver Royal Marines and ARP badges and a Taranto boxing medallion. H W Saunders served with Lt Col O E Crossthwaite Eyre RM and became his secretary when he was elected as an MP.
