Lock converted to percussion, marked 'O' under crown. Working mechanism. Long wooden stock stamped 'S' and 'LB' and with clearly visible Papal stamp. Brass mounts marked 'D', trigger guard with 'O' surmounted by crown. Iron ramrod. length 35 cm.
dating: 1840-60 provenance: Belgium, Smoothbore, round barrel with brass foresight, numbered octagonal breech, 17.5 mm cal. at the nozzle. Lock converted to percussion, marked 'O' under crown. Working mechanism but the second snap tends not to hold the cocking position. Long stock stamped 'S' and 'LB'. Brass mounts stamped 'O' under crown. Iron ramrod. Most probably a pistol readapted for use in the gendarmerie of the Papal States. length 34,5 cm.

18ct gold ring gents signet ring with intaglio seal, size O/P, 10g approx overall, a 22ct gold plain band, size O/P, 2g approx overall and an unmarked precious yellow metal plain band, possibly 22ct gold (untested), size P, 5g approx overall (3)Overall wear, scratches and signs of use.
