THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME LP (1ST UK 'BLACK AND GOLD' PRESSING - PMC 1202). A solid 'starter' original 1st UK mono 'black and gold' copy of Please Please Me. The record (PMC 1202, with correct Dick James credits) is in G+ condition. There are a number of surface marks/scuffs to the playing surfaces (still with nice lustre) and one or two light feelable scratches though these are not heavier in nature. With sharp and clean labels. Matrix/mother/stampers: XEX 421-1N 1 M & XEX 422-1N 1 O. The first printing (right aligned Angus McBean credit) sleeve is in G condition - the front in clean order, the reverse rear flipback tabs (top and bottom) are largely split with residue of tape noted. The spine is in solid order and in fully legible.
