A fine Second World War Air Bombers DFC group of seven Medals to Squadron Leader Ian G O Fenton RAF, Distinguished Flying Cross, the reverse officially dated ‘1940’, in case of issue, 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, General Service Medal with Malaya Clasp, 1953 Coronation Medal + set of Miniatures mounted as worn, Together with his comprehensive Log Books from 1937-57 with other relevant items including his Jacket, Dress Jacket and Waistcoat, Buckingham Palace Admittance Ticket for his Investiture dated 25 Feb 1941, News Cuttings, etc, Squadron Leader Fenton joined the RAF in 1937 having earlier learned to fly with the East Anglian Aero Club and qualified as a 1st Pilot on Wellington Bombers in July 1939, following a series of successful bombing raids he was awarded the DFC on 22 Oct 1940, his service with the RAF ended in August 1957 by which time he had spent over 2000 hours in the air, flown 28 different aeroplanes and landed at over 100 aerodromes
