An early French? penny toy style Chair-O-Plane. 17.5cm high. A revolving toy in a similar style to a fair ground ride. Comprising 3 small airships with gondolas below connected to a central pole within a 4 sectioned tinplate support. Attached to a two wheeled rectangular base with two smaller stabilising wheels. When pulled along the airships revolve. QGC some age wear overall. Pennant missing to top. In working order. See Plate.6
A scarce simple German clockwork tinplate Chair-O-Plane style airship/Zeppelin toy. A small example being only 15cm high. 3 early style Zeppelins with two gondolas to each, suspended from a circular parasol top, in which is fitted a small clockwork motor. Fixed to a central spindle. Mounted to a small square base and supported by simple stripes. Motor in W.O. GC for age. See Plate.6
A rare hand driven, cog drive tinplate Chair-O-Plane style airship/Zeppelin toy. 16cm high. An early Edwardian tinplate toy probably produced in Germany in the form of a fun-fair style ride, with circular motion where the speed generated forces the gondolas, (each in the style of an early airship) out. The tinplate umbrella style canopy on which the 3 ‘airships’ are attached is mounted to a central pole and is turned by a handle on the drum style cylindrical base, 8cm diameter. To the lower section of the pole is seated 3 boys who also rotate as part of the action. QGC- for age. Some minor age wear overall. See Plate.6

A 1930’s style Chair-O-Plane tinplate toy. 21.5cm high. This American produced ‘AERO-ZEP’ toy comprises 3 airships/Zeppelins in white with red stripes and pink coloured propellers, suspended from a canopy supported by a thick tinplate central pillar. To the top canopy are printed pictures of a 1930’s style radial engined monoplane with city names (destinations?) to the canopy edge- Berlin, New York, Buenos Aires, London, Paris, Jerusalem. The lower canopy is decorated with nine boys and girls holding hands around the central pillar. The main structure is lime green, with pink and red detailing. Has a Bison trade mark to top of canopy. GC. Some light wear overall. Action A.F. See Plate.7

All suspended from a top mounted parasol which contains a small clockwork motor. Whole supported by a triangular lattice frame. QGC motor in W.O. Age worn/paint chipped overall. See Plate.7
An early continental produced tinplate clockwork Chair-O-Plane. 25cm high. This aesthetically pleasing Edwardian period toy has 3 airships and two fixed wing monoplane aircraft each with grey/red litho detailing. All suspended from a carousel style canopy, with a substantial central support, containing a three note tune. All mounted on a stepped circular central base. Fitted with a pull-back-and-go action. Multi coloured. GC-VGC minor wear. Pennant missing to top. See Plate.7
