Throughout his service in the navy he sketched and drew ship portraits and became a notable marine artist.

Good surface condition with only very small natural inclusions visible. Total weight of the diamonds approximately 0.7 carats Estimated colour I/J Estimated clarity SI 2-3 Overall in good condition with only minor surface scratches to the mount and band in keeping with general wear.

Condition report Each diamond weighs approximately 0.10 carats Estimated colour H/I Estimated clarity SI The sapphires measure from approximately 3mm x 3mm to 2mm x 2mm Each sapphire a well matched mid to dark blue in colour, most with good colour saturation, some with small areas of zoning. The majority with good surface condition. A few with very minor surface scatches and very minor chips to the facet edges. Overall in good condition with minor surface marks and abrasions to the entirety in keeping with general wear.
