A diamond solitaire ring, the round brilliant cut diamond weighs 2.19cts, set with baguette~shaped shoulder diamonds in platinum. Size O 1/2.Accompanied by report number 20022136 dated 20th February 2015 from Anchorcert, UK stating that the round brilliant cut diamond weighs 2.19 carats, with G colour IF clarity.
A fancy coloured diamond cluster ring, the marquise~shaped yellow diamond weighs 3.55 carats and is set within a surround of circular cut diamonds in platinum and yellow gold. Size O 1/2.Accompanied by report number 5775~1522 dated 5th March 2015 from GCS London stating that the marquise~shaped diamond weighs 3.55 carats, with fancy deep brown yellow colour and VS2 clarity.
A continental gold fob watch in the form of a pansy, C1840. The white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, gold hands and winding at 1 o clock. Verge movement (damaged and incomplete) The cover realistically decorated with polychrome enamel (damaged). Within graduated seed pearl border. Similar decoration to the reverse (damaged) and centred with three seed pearls. Black and green enamel bar decoration to the sides. Suspending from a fine link double chain. 2.8cm wide.
§ Duncan Grant (Scottish, 1885-1978) Illustration for " O Pale Galilean" by Paul Roche, 1954 watercolour 38 x 25cm (15 x 10in) The present watercolour is either a try-out by Duncan Grant for a cover design or an illustration to Paul Roche's novel "O Pale Galilean" (Harvill Press, London, 1954). In the end, the book had a simple two- colour design of a fountain on its jacket and chapter heading vignettes by Grant. The scene shown here is an incident from the book. Unframed and paper is stuck down to the mount.
