An Art Nouveau WMF jug, the handle cast as a mermaid, stamped WMFB, 38 cm high See illustration Condition report Report by GH The WMF jug: Base: there are some small dents to the rim, and part of the foot-rim has become very slightly misshapen in two places. The underside of the rim bears the WMFB mark with as in lower case above it and I/O underneath it. Moving up to the body of the jug: there are several small areas where the top coating has been worn and chipped off, with some losses to this coating in several places along the sides, up towards where the casting of the handle meet the casting of the body, and up towards the spout of the jug, overall the cast decoration is reasonably crisp with some areas where polish has been applied leaving some excess white coloured residue. The mermaid handle is in good condition with some wear commensurate with age. The top of the jug and the spout are dented and slightly misshapen particularly towards the front of the jug where the liquid would come out, and there is general wear and tear.
