A silver hip flask presented to the the cricketer "Gubby" Allen in 1952,hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield, 1937, later inscribed G,O,A,, FROM, THE ARABS, HOVINGHAM, 31st JULY 1952, 16cm.This occasion was probably organised by the former Yorkshire CCC captain, the amateur William Worsley. Sir William Arthington Worsley was a landowner who lived at Hovingham Hall in North Yorkshire.
